Longer-term employees to receive salary increase in 2019 budget

Increasing salaries for longer-term employees has been the highest priority of the President's Executive Team for the 2019 budget. After careful planning by university divisions, we are pleased to announce that the 2019 budget will include a 2.5 percent pay increase for longer-term, benefits-eligible employees left out of the Legislature's previously adopted plan that took effect at the beginning of fiscal year 2018.

Approximately 980 benefits-eligible employees will receive the increase. It will first appear on July 13 paychecks.

General eligibility standards for the increase are below. Should you have questions, please visit with your direct supervisor.

Eligibility Standards
- Employee must have a most recent hire date on or before 06/18/17
- Employee did not receive initial 2.5 percent increase mandated by the State Legislature as part of the 2018 adopted budget
- Has not received an increase greater than 2.5 percent for non-promotional reasons. If an employee has received an increase of less than 2.5 percent for non-promotional reasons, they are eligible for the difference.
- Promoted employees remain eligible for the increase, pending Division/College approval
- Please note, the 2.5 percent is not applied to "stipends" and/or other compensation changes
