Reminders, deadlines and events
* If you are curious and would like to learn more about the purpose, use and difference between the retention tools the university has in place, attend the Retention Tools Workshop at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, June 7, in the 142 RSC. We will talk about the Student Early Alert System (SEAS), the Student Success Collaborative (SSC) and the At-Risk Report, which all exist to help us reach our enrollment goals. * Campus Recreation's new hours of operation and Shocker Fit Schedule have been updated for the summer. Hours are now 6 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 1-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Popular Shocker Fit classes such as F45, Yoga, Cycle Fit, Outdoor Bootcamp and the new Glide Fit Class will be offered. Learn more at wichita.edu/campusrec. Also, the Heskett Center is getting refreshed over the next couple of weeks.
* From now to Friday, June 8, the Heskett Center racquetball courts are closed, along with the restroom and shower room in the east hallway, because of a painting project. F-45 will still be going on, but participants will be let in on the north side of the building.
* If you're interested in serving as an on-campus advisor for a fraternity on campus, Fraternity and Sorority Life has two on-campus advisor positions open for the upcoming academic year. They are for the Delta Gamma Chapter of Beta Theta Pi and the Pi Theta Chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha. Becoming an advisor can be beneficial to the advisor and the students of the organization.
