An outspoken transgender advocate, Cox will deliver an empowering message about moving beyond gender expectations to live more authentically. She is the first transgendered woman to produce and star in her own TV show, 鈥淭RANSForm Me,鈥� which aired on VH1. She is also the first trans-woman of color to have a leading role on a mainstream television show with her portrayal of Sophia Burset on the Netflix series, 鈥淥range is the New Black.鈥�
